Rashford Out, Martial In – Strongest 4-2-3-1 Manchester United Line-up Amidst Injury Worries To Face Huddersfield

Predicted Manchester United Line-up To Face Huddersfield Town In The Premier League

Manchester United managed to steal a point from their trip to Anfield last weekend and followed it up with a narrow 1-0 victory on their trip to Benfica in the Champions League, keeping their unbeaten start to the season running. They have a chance to push it further this weekend when they travel to the Kirklees to face a newly promoted Huddersfield Town side that is still healing from a loss to Swansea in the previous round of the competition.

Mourinho seemed content with a point in the game against Liverpool but will go for the kill this weekend.

Team News

Midfielders Michael Carrick and Marouane Fellaini remain unfit for selection along with Paul Pogba and Marcos Rojo, who are long-term absentees. Marcus Rashford picked up a knock in the previous game and is doubtful but English ace Phil Jones is set to return from injury and is expected to start this weekend. However, Eric Bailly is close to full fitness but might not be risked in this tie.

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Manager: Jose Mourinho

GK – David de Gea

Easily one of the best in Europe at the moment, de Gea is expected to have a rather easy game against a misfiring Terriers side.

RB – Antonio Valencia

The skipper of the side, Valencia will have to be active at both ends of the field to keep his side on the front foot.

CB – Chris Smalling

With Bailly still not fully fit, Mourinho has little option but to use the experience of Smalling over the exuberance of Lindelof in this tie.

CB – Phil Jones

Having missed the last two games, Jones is finally fit for first-team action and should start this game alongside Smalling at the back.

LB – Ashley Young

The English winger has done a decent job at LB for Mourinho, who is expected to stick with him for this game as well.

CM- Nemanja Matic

The former Chelsea man has been immaculate at the heart of the midfield for United and will start as the deepest of the midfielders for his side.

CM – Ander Herrera

The Spaniard has fallen down the pecking order this season but injuries to key players will give him another chance to earn some faith of the manager.

RW – Juan Mata

The Spanish playmaker has in decent form in the last few games and the manager is expected to use him over Lingard on the right wing.

CAM – Henrikh Mkhitaryan

Having made a strong start to the season, Mkhitaryan has lost some of his form of late but will be a danger man to the Terriers.

LW – Anthony Martial

With Rashford not fully fit to start, Mourinho has little options but to use Martial on the left wing.

ST – Romelu Lukaku

The Belgian had a horrible time at Anfield and will look to get back among the goals this weekend against David Wagner’s side.
