“What a joke”,”Thanks for wasting my year”: Some Rangers fans left fuming after 1-1 draw vs Kilmarnock + Match report

Rangers vs Kilmarnock Report: Rangers match report

Rangers could only manage to take a point from the game against Kilmarnock after a 1-1 draw at the Ibrox. As a result, they miss another chance to close the gap on Celtic, having already spurned that opportunity last week as well.

Conor McAleny scored the opener for the away side, while Alfredo Morelos equalised for the Gers.

Around the a half-hour mark, a simple long ball went through the heart of the Rangers defence and McAleny was there to pounce and score after rounding off keeper Allan McGregor to give Kilmarnock the lead.

Steven Gerrrad’s men got level in the 64th minute when James Tavernier found Morelos and the striker turned around a defender to make space for a shot at goal. The Colombian’s hit was enough to beat the Kilmarnock keeper to bring the home side back into it.

The Gers had more urgency in their play after the break, but it wasn’t enough to get another goal and win all three points.

As a result of that stalemate, Gerrard’s men have handed a chance for Celtic to increase their lead to 10 points when they face Dundee tomorrow.

Here’s how the Rangers fans reacted after a disappointing result:
