Following their defeat at the hands of Dundee FC on Sunday, Rangers would attempt to bounce back to winning ways when they return to action on Friday, with a visit to the Caledonian Stadium to face Inverness in the 26th round of fixtures in the Scottish Premiership.
The Gers are still without a manager, but a search has commenced. Under-20s coach Graeme Murty, will likely lead the team to face the bottom-of-the-table side.
Rangers are with just a victory in the last 4 league games and have found themselves trailing 2nd placed Aberdeen by 6 points. However, they are a whopping 30 points behind runaway league leaders Celtic.
A win on Friday night will help steady a ship that appears sinking and without a capable captain since Mark Warburton’s departure. Rangers won the earlier league meetings between the both 1-0 and might struggle again on Friday.
To make sure that doesn’t happen, Graeme will very much likely name a strong lineup to face the relegation-threatened hosts:
Rangers line-up to face Inverness

GK – Foderingham
The English goalkeeper has been in goal for every of Rangers league game so far, keeping 7 clean sheets in the process.
Would have to be on top of his game not to concede against an Inverness side that has an eye for goals.
LB – Hodson
Whether Wallace would be fit enough for Friday’s clash remains to be seen, and in his absence, the Northern Ireland international will probably continue on the left side of the defence.
CB – Wilson
Hill was withdrawn after just 30 minutes on Sunday, with Wilson replacing him, and that should be maintained for Friday’s clash as the first choice defender isn’t likely to be available for selection.
CB – Kiernan
He returned to action on Sunday and though he appeared to be lacking form, he might pretty much retain his place for the coming game.
RB – Tavernier
The English fullback has been a regular in Rangers defence and is expected to start on Friday as he continues his brilliant attacking and defending performances.
CM- Halliday
The Scot continues to appear regularly in Rangers starting lineup due to his quality and is expected to make his 25th league appearance on Friday.
CM – Hyndman
Made his 4th league start on Sunday and was by far the best player on the pitch against Dundee FC.
Could likely be rewarded for his performance with a start on Friday.
CM- McKay
The youngster remains a vital member of the starting XI due to his talent and is expected to get his 25th league start on Friday.
CF – Miller
The veteran forward has always been in the lineup this term, playing 24 league games thus far and is set for another appearance on Friday.
LW – Garner
He bagged a goal against Dundee last time out but it wasn’t enough to save the day.
Would be hoping to get in the act on Friday too.
RW – Waghorn
Despite being in poor form recently, he remains a constant name on the starting sheet and should get the nod for Friday’s game as well.
