The Light Blues thrashed the hosts 5-0 at Super Seals stadium thereby picking up an impressive win.

Rangers pick up a comprehensive win

Gers put an all-round show in which players like Jermain Defoe, Kyle Lafferty found the score sheet and the win pleased the former Anfield star.

The Gers looked off colour after consecutive draws last week against Kilmarnock and St. Johnstone.

Further, the void to fill the in-form Alfredo Morelos was difficult as he was serving a multiple match-ban.

Gerrard saw his side return to form after the Gers thrashed Killie in the Scottish Cup. The game also saw the Colombian striker, Morelos, making his comeback by scoring four goals.

The Light Blues went on to pick up a comprehensive win over Hamilton even without the Colombian striker.

Gerrard said, ( h/t Rangers UK News)

“We came out the blocks so quickly and showed really, really good quality in the final third.”

The manager was pleased with Ryan Jack’s performance as the midfielder provided the breakthrough for the Gers.

He further commented on Jack and Scott Arfield’s performances ( h/t Rangers UK News)

“They can both strike the ball really well, and if you can get within range, let it go and you can certainly add numbers to your game.”

Gerrarrd further commented on Kyle’s cameo as the Northern Irish Star found the score sheet as a super sub.

“He has been waiting a little while and he has been unlucky at times – I look at certain games where he could have got himself on the score sheet.”

He also added the striker could enhance his numbers if he keeps hitting on the right places.
