The Light Blues picked up a comprehensive 2-0 win over Celtic, thanks to goals from James Tavernier and Scott Arfield, with the former scoring a stunning free kick.

The victory marked their second derby win of the season hosted at Ibrox.

Following the win, the Gers gaffer added that the win was more impressive than their win in December.

He said, (h/t Rangers News)

“I didn’t ever feel comfortable in the previous Old Firm game as it had been so long, so I was always on the edge but I thought today there was only one team who was looking like winning that, and we went out and proved that.”

Gerrard also didn’t fail to laud his players for their brilliant display.

The former Liverpool star also emphasized that he would step into next season with a positive attitude.

So I am walking in the door in the summer with a good team and hopefully we can get some good additions to that and we can be even better again next season. But, there is confidence there now and there is belief there now which goes a long way in football.

The Gers have now picked up their fourth win on the trot post their derby defeat at Park Head.
