Rangers News: Steven Gerrard held talks with Liverpool for future transfers

The Gers manager is looking to reinforce his side for the next season.

“I’ve already spoken to Liverpool about a number of players but what was said will remain private.

“Liverpool hold the cards with Ryan and all their players but I told them who I’d be interested in if they were available.

Ryan Kent is currently on loan at Ibrox and is due to return to Anfield later this season.

But the English winger expressed his desire to stay in Glasgow, much to the fans and Gerrards’ delight.

Kent had his breakthrough with the Light Blues this season, scoring five goals and six assists thus far.

In addition to that, the 22-year-old also won the Gers young player of the season award.

“Whether the player wants that, whether Liverpool wants that, we’ll have to wait and see, but it was important for me to speak to Liverpool and let them know we’re interested.

Gerrard said that Premier League holds a lot of exciting talent and promised that Ibrox would be a great place for them to grow.

“The majority of the loan players we’ve had have been successful

“You have to be respectful in this position”.

The Light Blues are currently second in the Premiership table and are out of the title race.

Furthermore, their  Scottish Cup dreams were dented by Aberdeen, who lost to Celtic in the semi-finals.

Gerrard would be certainly happy with his side’s recent form, as they have won back-to-back games.

The Light Blues will face Hearts in their next Premiership game.
