Speaking ahead of Sunday clash, the Gers manager said the Dons will be focused on grabbing three points.

He said, (h/t The Sunday Post)

Aberdeen play differently against Rangers. That’s what I’ve noticed. They certainly raise their game. It seems as if Rangers is their biggest game of the season.

“We’re fully expecting a very tough game, so we’ll have to beat it.

Deren McInne’s side were the winners in all of their previous outings in Glasgow.

Furthermore, they defeated the Ibrox side in the Scottish Cup quarter-finals last month.

Gerrard further added, (h/t The Sunday Post)

“They obviously come to play against Rangers and bring their A game. They’re very physical and they definitely lift their game against Rangers, that’s for sure.

He also provided major updates on James Tavernier and Jermain Defoe, as both of them are doubtful for the game.

Gerard finally broke the silence on the club’s interest in Motherwell midfielder Jake Hastie.

Hastie has been on the radar of the Gers for a long time and he is speculated to move to Glasgow next season.

The Light Blues picked up three straight wins after the Old Firm derby defeat last month.

They are currently second in the Premiership table, trailing Celtic by 9 points.
