Hastie- An exciting prospect

The 20-year-old has been a revelation for the Wells this season since his return from his loan spell.

He has bagged 6 goals and an assist so far. Hastie also made his international debut for his country’s U-21 side earlier this year. He also had his loan spells at Airdrieonians and Alloa Athletic.

Hastie won the Premiership Player award of the month for March, owing to his stellar display.

Following the signing, Steven Gerrard, the Gers manager said,

He is a talented young player who has performed well for Motherwell in the second half of this season.

“We are always looking to add individuals to our group of players who will improve us and Jake will undoubtedly do that.”

Hastie will take part in the Gers’ pre-season camp in June.

The Scots youngster can play on the wings and is familiar with the attacking- midfielder role as well.

His versatility would help Gerrard solve his attacking woes in the upcoming season.
