Rangers News: Alfredo Morelos of Rangers has revealed his intention to join a top European club this summer while speaking to W Radio (h/t Scotsman).
The Colombian striker has been the catalyst for Steven Gerrard this season scoring 27 goals across all competitions.
Now the 21-year-old has opened up about his future claiming he could go elsewhere in the summer (h/t Scotsman):
“There are many teams interested in me and a lot of them have watched me play. “Most likely my transfer will be this summer.
“With the number of goals I have scored, I know it has been noticed by European clubs.
“I have always said I would like to play in the English Premier League.”
Morelos added that his main objective is to represent his national side at the Copa America.
He praised the Scottish League for its level and named Rangers and Celtic as the best teams.
He further commented on Gerrard’s leadership as the striker had learnt much from him and said that he is gaining experience at Ibrox.
Alfredo joined the Gers back in 2017 from HJK and ended the season with 18 goals as the club’s joint top scorer.
However, the striker does seem to have a short fuse. In fact, he has been the recipient of four red cards this season and has faced a three-match as a result of an altercation with the Aberdeen player.
During the striker’s absence, the Gers weren’t suffered a bit of a dip in form with a couple of stalemates.
Even the manager agreed that it became difficult to replace in-form Morelos.
The forward scored four goals on his return from suspension thus announcing his comeback in the crucial Scottish Cup clash.
He also scored in last night’s Premiership game against Dundee United.
