Rangers News: Aberdeen investigate controversial banner aimed towards Alfredo Morelos in Rangers clash

Rangers News: According to the reports from The Daily Record, Aberdeen are investigating the controversial banner of Alfredo Morelos at Pittodrie stadium.

Rangers went head to head with the Dons in Scottish Cup quarter-finals last week at Pittodrie stadium.

The game ended as a stalemate thereby forcing a replay at Ibrox next week.

A group of supporters was spotted unfurling a flag that read ” Morelos, your mother is a mattress” taking disgraceful aim at the Colombian.

Morelos who had picked up a yellow card during the clash created a controversy when the sides met last month.

He was shown straight red after the altercation with the Dons player Scott Mckenna. And the striker was handed a three-match suspension in the wake of the incident.

Moreover, the Sunday’s game also witnessed the wreckage of more than 80 seats and the Light Blues are set to pay a compensation of around of £3000.

The Aberdeen Police are seriously investigation on how the banner got allowed into the stadium.

And there were six arrests made following the disorder created in the stands.

Match Commander Richard spoke about the incident and has offered his thanks to the supporters who abided by the rules.
