Rangers Highlights: Alfredo Morelos wins PFA Scotland goal of the season award

Rangers Highlights: Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos has won the PFA Goal of the year award.

The Colombian striker has been relentless for the Light Blues this season, bagging an impressive 29-goal haul.

The 22-year-old also won the Gers player of the year honour last month.

Dubbed as El Buffalo, Morelos has proved to be a constant threat for the opponent defenders throughout this season.

Amidst the flurry of goals, his brilliant strike against Aberdeen has been named by PFA as the best of the year.

However, the Colombian’s tremendous run was marred by his on-field misconduct, which often saw him getting red cards and suspensions.

He has bagged a total of five reds cards this season and faced two retrospective ban spells so far.

Morelos also earned his national call-up for the games against South Korea and Japan.

His performance drew praises from fellow compatriots James Rodriguez and Radamel Falcao.

Alongside Morelos, Ryan Kent was selected for the PFA’s young player award. The Liverpool-bound winger is having a wonderful season so far and is nearing the end of his loan spell.

Morelos is currently serving a four-match suspension after collecting the fifth red card of the season in Old Firm derby last month.

He is speculated to make his return this week against Celtic in another derby.
