Pulis to make no changes – Predicted 4-3-3 Middlesbrough XI to face West Brom

Predicted Middlesbrough XI to face West Bromwich Albion in the Championship

Middlesbrough host West Bromwich Albion at Riverside Stadium this Saturday, as Tony Pulis and his men aim to maintain their lead in the Championship standings.

The Teesside outfit have gotten off to a great start this season but facing the Baggies could prove to a tough task for the club. However, considering how deadly Boro have been lately, it goes without saying that the visitors could be in trouble.

Team News

As per early team news, Pulis should have a fully-fit squad to choose his starting XI from.

Probable Middlesbrough XI

Manager: Tony Pulis

Formation: 4-3-3

Darren Randolph (GK)

Middlesbrough have maintained clean sheets against the likes of Sheffield United, Birmingham City and Bristol City so far, thus speaking volumes about Randolph’s influence. He should start in goal.

Ryan Shotton (RB)

Shotton continues to be a pivotal figure for Middlesbrough at right-back. He is known for making some well-timed tackles, which will prove to be handy against an unpredictable Baggies attack.

Dael Fry (CB)

Fry’s composure and ability to clear the danger is unrivalled and he will play a key role for Middlesbrough this weekend.

Aden Flint (CB)

Flint must partner Fry at the heart of the defence as usual.

George Friend (LB)

Adept at both attacking and defending, Friend must focus towards dominating the left flank.

Adam Clayton (CM)

Clayton’s physicality in the middle of the park often sets the tone for Middlesbrough to dominate. Given his skills, he is a solid one-man machine who will be crucial for the club against West Brom.

Jonathan Howson (CM)

Howson’s distribution skills will play a key role, particularly when it comes to counter-attacking situations.

Lewis Wing (CM)

Wing should find himself in central midfield once again this weekend.

Martin Braithwaite (LW)

Braithwaite is a formidable presence for Middlesbrough this season and he should be tasked with unlocking a tough West Brom defence.

Brit Assombalonga (ST)

Assombalonga has been working wonders for Boro so far and he should continue his good work up front.
