Projected Tottenham Line Up To Face Borussia Dortmund – Dembele, Chadli And Trippier To Start

Tottenham might have been frustrated with the 2-2 draw against Arsenal in the Premier League but they don’t have a lot of time to dwell on that result as they take on Borussia Dortmund in the Europa League round of 16 fixture.

Dortmund were also held to a 0-0 draw by Bayern Munich in the weekend and will be looking to take an important win in their home leg against the second placed side from England. Tottenham have been in great form but will be without the services of Dele Alli as he serves a suspension in the Europa League.

We look ahead to a mouth-watering clash and predict the starting line-up for Spurs in this game.

Hugo Lloris

The French goalkeeper would have to be at his best to keep out Reus and company in the Europa League tie.

Kieran Trippier

Walker could be the one who is rested in this away game and that would mean Trippier would get the chance to show what he is capable off.

Toby Alderweireld

The Belgian would have to be at his best as he would be going up against one of the hottest strikers in the world in Aubameyang and this would be a true test for the Tottenham defender.

Kevin Wimmer

Wimmer would also have to be up to the task of taking one of the best attacks in the world and he with Alderweireld would have to have a great game to keep Tottenham in the tie.

Danny Rose

Danny Rose could provide Tottenham a great outlet out on the left and would need to use all his pace to be able to track back and defend against the Dortmund team.

Eric Dier

Dier might not have had the best of games against Arsenal but he would have to do well against the Bundesliga side if Tottenham are to keep a clean sheet.

Moussa Dembele

One of the players who has done incredibly well this season for Spurs, Dembele would have a battle on his hands to keep the team ticking along.

Erik Lamela

To provide Tottenham with a creative spark, they could start with the Argentine attacker, who would be looking to impress the Spurs fans.

Nacer Chadli

Chadli didn’t play against Arsenal and should start for Spurs in the game against Dortmund in Germany.

Christian Eriksen

Eriksen would need to step up in this game as without Dele Alli, the creative onus would be on his shoulders.

Harry Kane

Kane scored a wonder-goal against Arsenal in the weekend and he will be hoping for something similar against Dortmund as well.
