Projected Liverpool Line Up To Face Watford – Coutinho And Firmino To Be Rested?

After their recent Europa League victory over Villarreal, the side marches on to Basel to face Sevilla in the finals.

Jürgen Klopp and Liverpool would want their fans to cheer the team to get over the fatigue as the side will be welcoming Watford to Anfield this Sunday.

Liverpool in their last premier league fixture had to face a humiliating defeat at the hands of Swansea City. While, Watford marginally managed to clinch a win over Aston Villa last time out.

The last time these two sides met, Watford easily out powered the Reds as they defeated the side by 3 goals. But, this time, the results might favour the Reds thanks to their Europa League triumphs. Looking at the recent form of both the clubs’, Liverpool have the upper hand, as the side have won 3 of their last 6 games and have drawn 2. Furthermore, Watford have won just 2 of their last 6 games and have lost thrice.

Here is the Predicted lineup for Liverpool that could face Watford this Sunday-

Goalkeeper: Ward-

This is a debatable position as Mignolet is also available for the same. Mignolet has been poor this season. He lacked in his positioning and his defensive attributes. Danny Ward, on the other hand, showed glimpses of his abilities many times this season and might start the next game for the side.

Defenders: Clyne; Toure; Lovren; Smith-

Klopp might go with Clyne again. He has been brilliant after Klopp’s arrival and has been a tireless worker for the side. Skrtel was considered as one of the best defenders of his time, but he has dropped his form very badly this season and that’s why, Klopp might go for the same center-back duo to face Watford that started against Villarreal. The German Manager might replace Moreno with Smith in order to give him a rest.

Midfielders: Ibe; Lucas; Milner; Lallana; Ojo-

Liverpool had a tiring game against Villarreal, and Klopp will want to give his player some rest after that. Ojo and Ibe has been brilliant whenever they had been given their chance. They might be deployed on the wings and both will be looking to impress the manager in order to get first team experience next season. Lallana did a fantastic job in the game against Villarreal and scored the third goal for the side and might start the next game as well. Milner and Lucas has been exceptional after Klopp’s arrival and the midfield duo might get their chance in the next game as well.

Striker: Sturridge-

This position is a tricky one for Jürgen Klopp as three other players, namely Firmino, Benteke and Ings are available for the position, but he might go with the English striker Daniel Sturridge who will be backed by the mobility of Adam Lallana.
