Premier League’s Top 3 Players Likely To Sign New Contracts And Stay Back – Featuring Arsenal And Liverpool Stars

Stay On! – Three Players Who Are Likely To Sign Contract Extension And Stay Put With Their Respective Premier League Teams

The transfer window is almost half-way through and there are Premier League clubs who are yet to start their business for this summer. But most of the clubs in the country have made sure that they have made the possible additions to their squad going into the new season.

Some of the biggest clubs in England have spent insane amounts on top class players recently, but they are also keeping an eye on the clubs who want their players in this market. A number of high profile stars are now in the final year of their contracts at their respective clubs in England. Here are three such players, who are expected to sign new deals with their clubs before the start of the new season.

Mesut Ozil (Arsenal)

The German attacker is one of the best playmakers in world football but the lack of progress at the Emirates has seen him linked with an exit recently. He is in his final year of his contract and is demanding a pay rise, which Arsene Wenger was initially reluctant to meet. However, recent reports claim that Arsenal are ready to offer £280,000-a-week on his new deal, which is less than his demand. But the Gunners are confident that he will sign and this deal could be announced in the upcoming days.

Ander Herrera (Manchester United)

Currently out injured and linked with a move to Barcelona, Ander Herrera was the player of the season for Manchester United last campaign and the only reason for them to not renew his contract yet is the fact that they have been too busy finding other additions to the squad. Jose Mourinho already offered the Spaniard a new deal, a few weeks ago, but there is no official announcement yet on this deal. But with Herrera in the middle of the plans for Mourinho next season, he is expected to stay back and sign a lucrative contract at the Old Trafford, before the start of the season.

Emre Can (Liverpool)

The German midfielder is easily one of the most exciting players in his position in Europe currently, but he failed to establish himself in the first team last season until Liverpool lost their skipper Jordan Henderson to an injury. With Liverpool expected to spend on another midfielder this summer, Can’s role under Jurgen Klopp might diminish. So it does not come as a surprise that he is demanding a pay rise and is yet to sign a new deal at Anfield, amid interest from Italian giants Juventus. However, Liverpool are now reportedly confident of striking a deal with the midfielder and are expected to announce a contract extension on a deal that will come to an end at the end of this campaign.
