Predicted Tottenham Line-up To Face West Ham United In The Premier League

Tottenham Hotspur will travel to the London Stadium this weekend, as they take on London rivals West Ham United, in game-week 6 of the Premier League, on Saturday.

The Lilywhites have made a solid start to their league campaign, having won two and drawn two from the five games so far, sitting 5th in the table. While their home form hasn’t been the best, away from home, Spurs have gathered six points from two outings and would want to continue in the same manner against the Hammers as well.

Team News

Victor Wanyama is still a doubt for the game against West Ham as he continues his recovery from a knee injury. Danny Rose and Erik Lamela are definite absentees.

There could be wholesale changes in the line-up compared to the team that defeated Barnsley 1-0 in the Carabao Cup.

Here’s how Tottenham may take the field against Slaven Bilic’s side:

Manager: Mauricio Pochettino

Formation: 3-4-2-1

Hugo Lloris (GK)

The captain of the club should return to the playing setup, after making way for Michel Vorm in the midweek game against the Tykes.

Hugo Lloris

Toby Alderweireld (CB)

The Belgian defensive stalwart was given some time off against Barnsley, but he will definitely return to action against the Hammers.

Davinson Sanchez (CB)

Another player who did not feature on Tuesday night, the new signing from Ajax has settled in nicely and should start in the three-man backline.

Jan Vertonghen (CB)

Completing the three-pronged defence for Pochettino should be another Belgian, Jan Vertonghen. He did play in the cup tie, but is expected to continue, due to his suspension in European competition.

Davinson Sanchez

Serge Aurier (RWB)

Having gone with Kieran Trippier in the last two games, Pochettino could throw in another of his summer additions, Serge Aurier, into the fold on Saturday.

Eric Dier (CM)

Had a brief cameo on Tuesday and should be fresh from the rest that was afforded. A starting berth beckons for the midfield mainstay.

Mousa Dembele (CM)

The Belgian hasn’t been able to hit the heights of last season yet. Will look to get back to top gear as early as possible.

Ben Davies (LWB)

The Welshman wasn’t used by Poch in the last two games, due to slight issues with his fitness. In line for a comeback on Saturday.

Christian Eriksen (RAM)

The creator-in-chief for Tottenham, Eriksen was another who was rested on Tuesday against Barnsley. Will surely come back into the starting XI.

Dele Alli (LAM)

The 21-year old scored the winner in the midweek game, but hasn’t found his best form yet. Should be preferred to Heung-Min Son, as he will not be involved in the Champions League game in the coming week.

Harry Kane (ST)

Leading the line for Tottenham will be star striker Harry Kane. Wasn’t involved on Tuesday, with Fernando Llorente getting a run out, but the Spaniard will make way for the English talisman.
