Predicted Rangers Lineup To Face Aberdeen
Aberdeen’s collective mind appears to be on their upcoming cup final against Celtic at the end of the month. It would be no surprise if they were a few percent off the pace in this one, with Rangers looking to finish their home season on a high.
Pedro Caixinha is set to make plenty of changes to the squad over the summer, with the first focus being to catch Aberdeen before hunting down Celtic. The Gers’ 3-0 win at Pittodrie still resonates, and a similar result would do the club no harm at all. Caixinha is likely to go with a 4-2-3-1 to try to achieve the result.

GK – Wes Foderingham
A 43rd appearance of the season is expected from the English goalkeeper for whom a clean sheet would be a huge bonus.
RB – James Tavernier
More output when going forward would be desirable, though Tav’s defensive display would be more important on the night.
CB – David Bates
The young defender has been a real plus since the turn of the year and has a big future in Scottish football. Playing against Rooney and co means more education.
CB – Clint Hill
The veteran defender will leave very soon, but may get another chance to show what he can still do at the expense of Danny Wilson.
LB – Myles Beerman
Didn’t play against Hearts, but the teenage left-back may be recalled for this one.
CM – Jason Holt
The central midfielder should be called upon again to add his calmness in the engine room.
CM – Jon Toral
Only on loan from Arsenal, the Spaniard may as well be used as much as possible to ensure a good finish to the season before the midfield restructuring begins.
RW – Joe Dodoo
Was used as the first change last time out, when he replaced Windass and may well start this game on the right-hand side of the midfield.
CAM – Kenny Miller
The old man has done a great job supporting the striker this season and in fact he has been Rangers’ biggest goal threat. He’d like a goal against the Dons and may add to his tally here.
LW – Barrie McKay
Seems to have found his form under Caixinha now and goal against the top 2 is long overdue. Maybe this will be his time.
ST – Joe Garner
You can’t help but feel Rangers are crying out for a proper no.9 and that Garner’s time at the club may be up soon. But for now, the cult hero can start again and will at least put himself about.
