Predicted Manchester United Line Up To Face Liverpool – Depay And Rashford To Start

Manchester United will be looking to hit back from their disappointing 1-0 loss at the Hawthorns as they take on Liverpool in the Europa League first leg round of 16 tie. United might have been reduced to 10-men against West Brom but they should still be in a better mental state since they have had the better of their rivals in both the Premier League clashes this season.

United have defeated Liverpool both home and away and will be looking to do a similar feat in the away leg at Anfield. Manchester United would be without the services of Jesse Lingard as he is suspended from the tie and we predict the starting line-up for the Red Devils in this crucial tie.

David de Gea

Can there really be anyone else to play except De Gea? The goalkeeper is one of the best in the world and must start for United.

Matteo Darmian

Darmian is another automatic selection for Manchester United due to the number of injuries they have at the moment.

Chris Smalling

The English defender is another player who didn’t have the greatest game against West Brom but will be hoping for a better run against Liverpool.

Daley Blind

Blind has done pretty well in defence, considering that he was actually a midfielder for the Dutch team and should continue in his role against Liverpool.

Marcos Rojo

The Argentine will be another one looking to do better for the Red Devils against their bitter rivals at Anfield.

Michael Carrick

Carrick was not all that great against West Brom but he should continue in his role for United in this tie.

Morgan Schneiderlin

The French midfielder could get a chance as Liverpool would be the ones doing the attacking in this game in search for a crucial winner to carry into the next leg.

Ander Herrera

Herrera was substituted early in the second half for Schneiderlin and should start against Liverpool since he can unlock defences with his movement and passing.

Anthony Martial

The French attacker hasn’t been able to hit the high notes in recent games but he did do well the first time he played against Liverpool and could be a handful for their slow defence again.

Memphis Depay

The Dutch attacker was brought on a substitute against West Brom but should start since Lingard is suspended.

Marcus Rashford

The other Marcus in the starting line-up, Rashford has been brilliant ever since he broke into the first team and who knows, he could be the one doing the damage against Liverpool.
