Predicted Manchester United Line Up If And When Jose Mourinho Takes Over At Old Trafford

Jose Mourinho

It seems that it is only a matter of time before Jose Mourinho takes over at Manchester United. The former Chelsea manager got sacked earlier this season and has become the favourite to take up the reins at the record Premier League champions at the end of this season.

Manchester United have not played the way that the fans want to see and even their position isn’t all that great since they are in real danger of missing out on the UEFA Champions League next season. Manchester United need to make a few changes and the first one would be related to the manager.

With a change at the top, it shouldn’t be a surprise to see a few more changes at the bottom end as well. The starting lineup for Manchester United could well change if Jose Mourinho has his way and with him coming into the club, you do know that will happen.

We predict what could be United’s starting lineup under Jose Mourinho.

David de Gea

Could there be any doubt about who goes into the lineup as the goalkeeper for Manchester United? Be it Jose or Louis, the Spaniard has to start for them.

Matteo Darmian

The Italian should just keep his slot due to his ability to defend well which would be important for Jose Mourinho.

Chris Smalling

The best central defender that Manchester United have, Smalling has to be in the starting lineup for the Red Devils.

Marcos Rojo

Rojo hasn’t played a lot this season due to injuries but he should be the one partnering Smalling in the heart of the defence.

Luke Shaw

Another player who hasn’t played a lot this season after picking up a horrific injury, Shaw would be a great player for any team and especially for Mourinho.

Morgan Schneiderlin

The Frenchman would be the ideal midfielder for Mourinho, who achieved so much with Matic at Chelsea.

Daley Blind

The Dutch defender would probably be shifted up a little higher to provide support to the attack and also to Schneiderlin when it comes to defending from the front.

Jesse Lingard

Lingard has risen up the ranks and should play as one of the wingers for Mourinho.

Memphis Depay

Juan Mata probably won’t get another chance with Mourinho and hence Depay, even after a poor season should get a chance to show what he is capable off.

Wayne Rooney

The England captain would probably get shifted behind Martial but he should still be able to turn games on their heads.

Anthony Martial

The man to lead the strike force for Manchester United. Martial could well be the talisman that leads Jose Mourinho’s Devils to glory.
