Liverpool Klopp

Liverpool have been a completely different side since the takeover of Jurgen Klopp as their manager. They defeated Chelsea, Manchester City at their own backyard and put six past Southampton at St Mary’s Park few nights ago to book a place in he semi-finals of the League Cup. The Reds will face Newcastle in the Premier League and we look ahead to the game and provide the starting lineup for both the teams.

Joe Gomez, Danny Ings are Mamadou Sakho are set to miss the match due to injuries while Emre Can is suspended. The Reds will be pleased to see three star names returning in action as Philippe Coutinho, Jordan Henderson and Daniel Sturridge making it back to the team.

Simon Mignolet

The Belgian is in great form and is certain to start against the Toons on Sunday.

Nathaniel Clyne

Nathaniel Clyne has been one of the consistent performers for Liverpool this season and has started week-in and week out for the Reds. He was given a much-needed rest against his former side midweek and is likely to make it to the XI.

Martin Skrtel

The Slovakian defence is the leader in defence and is unlikely to start from the bench.

Dejan Lovren

The Croat looks a different man under Klopp and should remain in the team after a run of consistent performances.

Alberto Moreno

The Spanish left-back didn’t play in midweek and should regain his place in the team.

Lucas Leiva

Lucas is back from suspension and will make it to the playing XI. Lucas provides the cover to Liverpool’s defence and will be the main man in midfield when it comes to tackling.

James Milner

The English star was also rested against Southampton and should come back into the team due to Can’s suspension.

Jordan Henderson

The club captain is one of the two players who returned to the squad in midweek and should get his first full game under Klopp.
