Petr Cech

The numero UNO Chelsea keeper. There can be no debate on Cech’s selection.

Ivanovic

One of the most vital members of the team, he has made the right back position look a lot more classier with his attacking runs and defensive play. If Chelsea are to impress in the UCL, this man will have to play a big role.

Gary Cahill

He has made quite a few mistakes thus far in the Premier League this season but it is alleged that Mourinho will opt for the England International. A good game against a relatively weaker side would definitely bring back some confidence.

John Terry

As always gives his heart out for his team on the pitch. An inspirational man when on field, Terry would certainly lead from the front in the centre back position.

Ashely Cole

Another super performer for the Blues, Cole is certainly one of the better left backs of the game in the world right now.

Frank Lampard

This may just be the final season for the Chelsea legend at his beloved club and that may just be the decisive factor to keep the England star motivated for some ultimate glory.

John Obi Mikel

Ramires’ suspension brings Mikel into the fray and he would like to make an impact and grab more opportunities for the future. Although there were initial concerns about his knee, Mikel is expected to start.

Eden Hazard

The talented Belgian would lead the attacking midfield with his skills and Mourinho would expect the youngster to rise upto the occasion and fire for the team.

Oscar

So far it seems Oscar is a preferred Mourinho choice ahead of Willian and others and he has all the potential to make the night his own.

Andre Schurrle

The German has ousted Juan Mata from the team and thus any mistake from the 22-year old would go horribly wrong against him. Resting on very thin ice, he needs to perform and perform well.

Fernando Torres

The striker position is a constant problem for Chelsea with all three of them failing to complement the talented midfielders as much as they should have. After Eto’o made his lacklustre debut this weekend, Torres may once again be given the chance to rise and shine.
