Predicted Chelsea Lineup To Play Against Swansea City: New Signing Set To Start?

Chelsea has a lot to play for in the upcoming season

The Premier League is almost here, the excitement has reached fever pitch and the fans are ready to scream their voices either in delight or in frustration based on how their team performs. One group of fans would certainly be looking forward to this season are the Chelsea fans, the Blues will be looking to defend their Premier League crown and face decent opposition in Swansea City on the opening weekend.

Swansea were one of the better teams from last season and Gary Monk has strengthened his team with a few nifty players. Chelsea though haven’t made a lot of new signings and have let go of Petr Cech and Filipe Luis, amongst a few other players. They still should be strong enough to defeat the team from Wales and we predict the starting XI for Chelsea in their first Premier League game.

Thibaut Courtois

One of the best goalkeepers in the world, who is bound to get better, Courtois was the reason for Petr Cech leaving Chelsea and the Belgian will be looking to continue where he left of last season.

Branislav Ivanovic

One of the best right-backs in the world, the Serbian will provide Chelsea with a ton of support in attack while doing his defensive duties.

John Terry

Captain, leader and legend, we cannot imagine any Chelsea team without Terry and the centre-back should start the season by playing in the first game of the season.

Gary Cahill

The Blues have one of the best partnerships in Terry and Cahill, and Chelsea will not be looking to shake things up so early in the season.

Cesar Azpilicueta

With Filipe Luis back at Atletico Madrid, it has to be Cesar playing as the left-back for Chelsea.

Nemanja Matic

The defensive midfielder of the year last season and probably one of Chelsea’s best players, there is no doubt that Matic will get the nod ahead of any other midfielder to play in this role.

Ramires

Ramires should get a look into the team since Fabregas might have to play a more attacking role in this game against Swansea.

Willian

The hardest working winger you could probably see in the Premier League, Willian should start ahead of Cuadrado for Chelsea and hopefully keep the Colombian out of the team.

Eden Hazard

The player of the year last season, Hazard should start for Chelsea and the Blues will look towards him for some magic on the field.

Cesc Fabregas

Fabregas could get a chance to play in a more advanced position for Chelsea, in this game at least.

Falcao

The Colombian should get a chance ahead of Loic Remy as Diego Costa is still a doubt for the clash against Swansea. This could be Falcao’s chance to get back some of the form he lost at United.
