Chelsea Predicted Line-up vs. Man Utd.
It’s the big match on blockbuster Sunday as Man Utd host Chelsea. Both teams have had some injuries and fitness issues and we don’t exactly know which Man Utd players will take to the pitch. But today we would want to guess the Chelsea eleven on the exciting day. Here is the line-up.
Goalkeeper:
Courtois
Mourinho has confirmed that the Belgian will be on goal. Cech had played in the midweek in an attempt to rotate the two world class keepers.
Defenders:
Right Back: Ivanovic
He’s certain to start at Right Back. The big man is in great form and has been effective from the flanks with his aggressive style of attacking.
Center Back: Cahill
The Englishman is also a certain starter and he was rested in the midweek Champions League fixture against Moribor. He is one of the most consistent defenders in the league since last season.
Center Back: Terry
Captain Terry will partner Cahill in central defence. The pair will have to be vary of previous tormentors Falcao and van Persie. The Skipper will have to lead well.
Left Back: Luis
Filipe Luis will play at Left Back as the first choice Azpilicueta serves a ban of three matches for a red card. Luis is a hardworking, skilful and very experienced Left Back.
Midfield:
Defensive Midfield: Matic
Consistent performer Nemanja Matic is assured a place in front of the defence. He does a marvelous job in shielding the back four as he reads the game extremely well and is an expert ball winner.
Central Midfield: Fabregas
Cesc Fabregas will start in his favoured deep midfield role. He’s been in great form and would want to continue playing that way. He’d mostly be the one dominating the midfield.
Central Attacking Midfield: Oscar
A bundle of energy and skills, Oscar is an extremely hardworking and creative attacking midfielder. He provides stability and tactical advantage with his game reading and tactical awareness.
Right Midfield: Willian
The engine of Chelsea’s attacking midfield. With energy and skill on the ball and skills without it, Willian is a key player and Mourinho prefers him in away games. He’s key during counter attacks.
Left Midfield: Hazard
Eden Hazard is the one through whom the attacks would be channeled through in the final third. He’s been in great touch and is dribbling like there aren’t any defenders. He would be required to be decisive against Utd.
Striker: Schürrle
Well, here is a position where Chelsea have doubts. Diego Costa has just returned to training and has a small chance to play, meaning he’ll likely be a substitute. Remy is out injured and Drogba himself admitted that he’s not fully fit. Schürrle remains a choice and he’s a good finisher. He has struggled at center forward position, but may have to start.
