Predicted Arsenal lineup vs Borussia Dortmund: Koscielny Is Back, Giroud & Wilshere Misses Out

Borussia Dortmund is the next team who are up to test Arsenal’s resolve as Arsene Wenger will try desperately to come up with the answers to Arsenal’s mental fragility. Borussia Dortmund are a team which is truly having a Jeckyll and Hyde season as all their good work in the Champions League is not being followed up in the Bundesliga where they are surprisingly languishing in the bottom half of the table. With Marco Reus ruled out of action till next year, Arsenal have a golden opportunity to get their season back on track with a win over Borussia Dortmund.

Damian Martinez: With Wojciech Szczesny injured in the game against Manchester United and with second choice goalie David Ospina also out long term with injury, Damian Martinez will get another opportunity to show the world his talents as he will lineup in goal for Arsenal.

Calum Chambers: The youngster will continue at right back as the new arrival from Southampton continues to feature in almost all games for Arsenal.

Per Mertesacker: The Big German will be hoping for some upturn in his form especially given how poor he has been for Arsenal recently.

Laurent Koscielny: A bit of good news finally. The Frenchman was seen training with the Arsenal first team today and we expect him to slot right in besides Per Mertesacker at the heart of the defence giving Nacho Monreal a well deserved rest.

Kieran Gibbs: The English full back will start as usual at left back.

Mikel Arteta: The Arsenal captain will provide stability at the base of midfield while protecting the back four. He was impressive in the game against United and should look to continue his good work if Arsenal are to look good in the middle of the park.

Santi Cazorla: With Jack Wilshere looking to be out long term yet again, it is the chance for the Spaniard to redeem himself as he has looked extremely poor all season.

Aaron Ramsey: The Welsh man has looked a shadow of the player he was last season. He needs to start firing and fast otherwise it can be a very long season for the Arsenal fans.

Alexis Sanchez: The man who is on fire at the moment. Arsenal will look for inspiration from the Chilean as he operates from the right.

Alex Oxlade Chamberlain: The Ox had a brilliant game against Manchester United and he will be hoping for more of the same against Borussia Dortmund.

Danny Welbeck: Although Olivier Giroud scored a goal on his return against Manchester United after coming off the bench, the Frenchman is unavailable for this match meaning Danny Welbeck will be leading the line for Arsenal yet again.
