Predicted Arsenal lineup Vs Anderlecht: Ramsey & Arteta Return, Chambers To Start

With Arsenal being on a woeful domestic form of late with injuries playing their part, the North London side will hope for some alleviation to their miseries when they face Anderlecht in the Champions League. With the scrutiny on Arsene Wenger by the fans ever increasing, the Frenchman will be hoping for a compact performance like the one against Galatasaray in the last round of the group stages in the Champions League. After all the wily Frenchman knows that another slip up against Anderlecht can potentially be disaster for the club. Here at Soccersouls we have tried to predict the Arsenal lineup that will face Anderlecht tomorrow.

Goalkeeper:

Damian Emiliano Martinez

With Wojciech Szczesny suspended and back up goalie David Ospina injured, it will be the chance for the third choice goalie at Arsenal, Damian Emiliano Martinez to shine on his Champions League debut. While there is no doubt that the situation is hardly ideal, there is the hope that this will prove to be some really valuable experience for the rookie goalkeeper.

Defence:

Kieran Gibbs, Per Mertesacker, Calum Chambers, Hector Bellerin

With Laurent Koscielny still out injured from his international duty, youngster Calum Chambers will return from domestic suspension to fill in at centre back. There can be no doubt that even Calum Chambers could not have thought that he would get so much opportunity to play regular football but such is the state at Arsenal right now that he will be the man partnering Per Mertesacker tomorrow. Kieran Gibbs is expected to line up on the left hand side of the Arsenal defence while the lack of options mean that the youngster Hector Bellerin get another chance at the right back slot.

Midfield:

Mikel Arteta, Aaron Ramsey, Jack Wilshere, Alexis Sanchez, Santi Cazorla

With Mikel Arteta and Aaron Ramsey both being fit to make the bench for Arsenal in their Premier League match for the weekend, we expect both of them to start. The Spaniard in place of Mathieu Flamini and Aaron Ramsey alongside Jack Wilshere in the middle of the field just ahead of Mikel Arteta. While Jack Wilshere has been playing quite a lot this season, we expect Arsene Wenger to continue with him for this match as well. Alexis Sanchez will try to continue his excellent form on the right hand side of the midfield with Santi Cazorla trying to bring his guile and passing range from the left of midfield.

Striker: Danny Welbeck

The only choice for Arsenal at the centre forward slot for Arsenal nowadays and what a brilliant transfer move it has been for Danny Welbeck personally. The England international will spear the Arsenal attack on the night.
