Possible January Transfers for the Top EPL Clubs

It is still just October but talking about transfers is never early nor boring. Let us have a glance at the top clubs in EPL and the players who could possibly head their way in the January Transfer Window.

Arsenal :

Yann M’Villa :

With Diaby injured almost all the time, Wenger will look forward to bring in the French midfielder to Arsenal. M’Villa is in his early twenties and a fee of around £17 mil should seal the deal. Wenger has previously bought many lesser known French players and turned them into superstars.  Henry, Pires, Viera and Nasri are a few French players to name whom the “Professor” bought and trained and turned them into superstars. Could M’Villa follow their footsteps?

Fernando Llorente : He almost signed for Juventus this summer but talks broke down between Bilbao and Juve. With Giroud not living up to the expectations, Arsenal fans would love to see this Spanish sensation join them. Sadly for them, there will be stiff competition for the striker as Juventus, Milan and Zenit are also linked with the player. He could cost the Gunners close to  £30 million.

Chelsea :

Radamel Falcao:

Rumors have it that Billionaire owner Abramovich has given Di Matteo the green light to bring in the Columbian superstar to Chelsea. After he scored a hat-trick against the Blues earlier this season, Falcao was linked since. And with Athletico having financial worries, it seems more likely that he would be a Premier League player in January.

Demba Ba : Possible only if the Falcao deal falls off. Chelsea will want to trigger the  £7 mil buy out clause of Ba. With Torres the only real striker present in the club, Chelsea will not hesitate a bit in buying the striker for such a small sum.

Manchester City :

Isco :

Isco is the reason Malaga have had such a good start to the season both in the domestic and the Champions league. Not for once did he make the club miss Cazorla. After the departure of De Jong, Mancini did buy a couple of midfielders but he will not hesitate a bit to bring this man to the club on the first opportunity he gets.

Stefan Jovetic : The Fiorentina striker was linked with a move to Premier League winners Manchester City throughout the summer transfer window but the Serie A side would not give in and were successful in keeping the young talent at the club. The Blues remain keen on signing Jovetic and are looking to make a preliminary agreement to see off interest from Italian giants Juventus.

Manchester United :

Kaka : Ferguson tried to sign him in the summer but could not strike a deal. Kaka looks to have come back to form after injuries. Yet, Madrid don’t quite seem to need him as Ozil and Modric are being preferred. His huge wages are another reason for them to offload him. It is believed Sir Alex is trying to strike a deal which will see Chicharito go the other way as he is the 4th choice striker and it will greatly reduce the transfer fee.

Marouane Fellaini : Another player linked with United all summer but did not move. And after Fellaini’s statement saying that it’s time he moved on, Ferguson will be eager to get the Belgian this January. With a transfer fee believed to be just less than £20 mil, he would be the missing puzzle in the United midfield.

With Scholes not capable of playing every match, he will be the exact playmaker United are looking for.

Liverpool :

Theo Walcott : With the contract set to expire at the end of the season and Walcott not willing to sign a new one, Arsenal will be glad to sell him for absolutely any price. He insists he wants to play the center forward role and with Carroll away on role, Rodgers would gladly shift back to the 4-4-2 and play both Suarez and Walcott. Chelsea and City are also linked with him but they will be looking to get in other bigger names.

Stephen Kiessling :

Another striker that is linked with the Anfield club is the Bayer Leverkusen forward. He stands at 6ft 3 inches and has all the attributes of a perfect target man. With the absence of Carroll, Kiessling could just be that player who would bring in that missing spark to Liverpool.

Tottenham Hotspurs

Joao Moutinho :

Spurs reportedly came within minutes of signing the Portuguese international on dead line day this summer but missed out because of third party ownership issues. AVB will still be looking to bring in midfielder in January as he looks to add that extra quality to his team to increase their title chances. Moutinho would cost a reported ₤24 million from Porto.

Willian : Spurs reportedly failed with a ₤24 million bid for the Shaktar player during the summer but AVB still has the midfielder in his sights and could be looking to bring the Brazil star to North London this January. Shaktar reportedly wanted at least half of the transfer fee paid upfront, but with Tottenham relying on payments from Real Madrid Levy was again making such a big initial outlay.
