Possible Chelsea XI For The Next Season If Antonio Conte Gets His Summer Targets

Premier League giants Chelsea will try their best to get back to winning ways in the upcoming days, as Italian manager Antonio Conte takes over the club. The Blues have faith in the former Juventus boss, who has already proven his worth over the years and can bring about a change at Stamford Bridge as well. A lot of players have been linked with the Londoners in recent times, though the club have signed just one player so far.

Another doubt would be the fact whether or not Conte would stick to his preferred 3-4-3 formation, once he takes over his new side and here is how the starting eleven might possibly look like in the upcoming campaign:

Formation: (3-4-3)

Defence:

Thibaut Courtois will start at goal, with Conte having no desire of not letting him go anywhere any time soon. The Belgian international struggled with a long term injury last season and could not gain too much momentum at the Blues’ goal, though he did put in some solid performances when he was on the pitch. If the manager fails to sign any more young high quality defensive superstars and probably adds a few experienced veterans to his back-line, he might utilize the trio of Cesar Azpilicueta, Gary Cahill and Kurt Zouma from left to right. John Terry and Branislav Ivanovic might be used occasionally as well, when the manager would want to give his first choice players some much needed rest and will want to mix things around.

Midfield:

The midfield will consist of a couple of central mid-fielders, along with two on the flanks to maintain the balance between attack and defence. Brazilian Felipe Anderson from Lazio could be moving to Stamford Bridge soon and should feature on the left wing, along with Portugal’s Euro 2016 winner Joao Mario, who could cost the club a fee of about £50m and start on the right wing. Further, Nemanja Matic and Oscar will start at the center. Conte had asked the Brazilian to remain at west London as he needed his services and could start him in his side in a holding midfield role.

Attack:

The attack will consist of a three man front-line with Eden Hazard and Willian on either side of new signing Michy Batshuayi from Ligue 1 outfit Marseille, as Conte will expect that the Blues’ first team players from last season can link up well with the 22 year old superstar. Diego Costa has no intention of remaining at the club and has made it clear now, which would mean that the former Juve man will have to make the best out of his already existing stars at the club.
