Possible (3-4-2-1) Liverpool Line up Against Everton – Sturridge And Gerrard To Start

Brendan Rodgers

Liverpool are the only undefeated team in Premier League in the year 2015 and they are also in top notch form since last 7 games, while Everton haven’t been impressive so far in this season and are in the bottom half of the Premier League table. This time the Reds will travel to Goodison Park to take on Everton in the last Merseyside derby of the season and this will also be the final derby for captain Steven Gerrard.

Most of the regulars in Liverpool are fit, Let us now predict Liverpool’s possible line up to play against Everton.

Formation – 3-5-2 (3-4-2-1)

Goalkeeper – Simon Mignolet

Despite his struggles this season, Mignolet remains Liverpool’s first choice between the sticks. The Belgian will have to be at his very best to stop Lukaku and Mirallas from running riot.

Defence – Sakho, Skrtel & Can

Sakho has started most of the games for Liverpool during this impressive feat and also impressed the manager while Skrtel is arguably their best defender so far in this season. Can because of his brilliant game sense and reading will make his way to the starting XI whereas this trio has been the best for Liverpool in recent months.

Midfield – Moreno, Henderson, Gerrard, Markovic

Moreno because of his excellent pace, brilliant crossing, and never ending stamina has been a very good wing-back for Liverpool while Markovic because of his stamina and attacking minded approach will add perfect balance to this wing-back duo. Gerrard and Henderson are like batman and robin in the Liverpool midfield, this duo has beautiful chemistry and this is also a proven duo against any Premier League side. Although Lucas has been preferred ahead of Gerrard in recent times, expect Rodgers to deploy captain fantastic in his very last Merseyside derby.

Attack – Sterling, Coutinho & Sturridge

Sturridge will be back in Liverpool’s firing line after months of injury and we can also expect a goal or two from him. Whereas Coutinho and Sterling are two irreplaceable figures Liverpool squad and hence it will be very fascinating for us to see these two behind Sturridge.
