Leeds United continued their unbeaten start to the season with a 2-2 draw against Swansea City away at the Liberty Stadium in Wales. Pablo Hernandez scored the decisive equaliser 11 minutes from time to help Leeds win a point.
Swansea’s Oliver McBurnie scored mid-way through the first-half before Kemar Roofe continued his good form in front of goal with a close-range finish 15 minutes later. McBurnie put Graham Potter’s men ahead once more with a headed finish, only for Hernandez to score late on.
Here’s how Bielsa’s men fared in a tough away game against a very good opponent:
Couldn’t have done much to save either of Swansea goals. Made a wicked one-on-one save later on to preserve the point.
Assisted Roofe’s goal, which was impressive, to say the least. He was included in the starting line-up very late because of Liam Cooper pulling up in the warm-up. Started slowly but picked up the pace later on.
Was circumspect throughout the game even though the team had control. He looks shaky while containing a player going past him. Made some good blocks though.
Was made to play in central defence and performed well. Kept a dangerous McBurnie in check.
Not a very good night for the former Wolves left-back. Maybe he has set his standards high that matching them is not so easy.
Got an early yellow card. It looks like Bielsa wasn’t impressed at how an out-paced Phillips looked from the first minute. He was eventually subbed off inside 30 minutes after Swansea wrecked havoc.
Won the point for Leeds with a well-taken goal at the back-post eleven minutes from time but he was quiet apart from that. He tried hard but it just wouldn’t happen for him tonight.
Was marked tightly by Swansea players for most of the game. He couldn’t find space to operate and maybe the referee could have been a bit less harsh on him at times.
Was pushed to a deeper-lying role once Phillips was hooked before half-time. The Pole was not able to find much joy in that position but began to look more influential later on.
Was replaced at half-time after a surprisingly under-par performance. Maybe the Saturday-Tuesday fixture list is taking a toll on some of the players because the manager asks for high intensity on the pitch.
Was isolated as Swansea dominated the game in the midfield, but got his goal, which will fill him with more confidence.
Blew hot and cold in the game with his passing and overall contribution. Came back strong later on in the game, just like his team.
He was a complete contrast to the player he replaced – Alioski. Maybe the latter should have been given the rest. Harrison did no harm to his impression in front of the manager, with a decent performance in the second half.

Didn’t get much joy as Swansea continued to dominate. However, fresh legs helped in him charging forward on the counter and setting up Hernandez for the equaliser.
