Pochettino to make 9 changes – Strongest 4-2-3-1 Tottenham XI to face Crystal Palace

Mauricio Pochettino

Predicted Tottenham Lineup To Face Crystal Palace In The Premier League

Tottenham Hotspur travel to Selhurst Park to face Crystal Palace on Sunday. The fixture is happening earlier than originally planned but that should not deter either team from giving its best to pick up 3 points.

Spurs come into this game brimming with confidence after subjecting arch-rivals Arsenal to a loss in their previous Premier League game.

Meanwhile, Palace will be in desperate need of a win to save themselves from the dreaded drop to the Championship.

Team News

Mauricio Pochettino will be happy since he has a fully fit squad to choose from. However, he could make a few changes and possibly withdraw Toby Alderweireld to allow him more time to return to match fitness. Heung-min Son did not play against Juventus but he could return against Palace.

Probable Tottenham Hotspur XI

Manager: Mauricio Pochettino

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Hugo Lloris (GK)

Lloris has been a reliable figure for Tottenham in goal and the shot-stopper is expected to take up his usual role against Palace.

Ben Davies (LB)

Davies has been exceptional in the left-back area and has been a lot more effective than Danny Rose. Hence, the player is likely to return this weekend.

Jan Vertonghen (CB)

Vertonghen has been a force to reckon with for Tottenham throughout the season. His composure and solidity have helped the club against the toughest of opponents and he will be crucial once again at Selhurst Park.

Davinson Sanchez

Davinson Sanchez (CB)

Sanchez partners well with Vertonghen and with Alderweireld yet to be fully fit, Pochettino could deploy the towering defender in the heart of the defence.

Kieran Trippier (RB)

Kieran Trippier has been quite strong in this area and the manager should go ahead with him as the right-back on Saturday. His energetic runs up and down the right-hand side often provide a boost to the club’s overall display.

Eric Dier (DM)

Dier’s influence and power in the middle of the park have been a game-changer for Tottenham on certain occasions and he should start on Sunday.

Mousa Dembele (CM)

Dembele works extremely well with Dier and the duo has impacted Tottenham’s performances in quite a solid manner. His presence in the midfield will be required against a gutsy Palace side.

Heung-min Son (LW)

After missing out on the game against Juventus, Son should return to the starting XI. His creative and pacey style of play often unlocks a lot of opportunities for Tottenham.

Dele Alli

Dele Alli (CAM)

Alli has received a lot of backlash for a good majority of the season so far but if his most recent displays are anything to go by, he has been relatively consistent. Pochettino is expected to hand him a start and the gaffer will be hoping that the influential star does a good job.

Christian Eriksen (RW)

Eriksen has been fantastic for Spurs lately and he is likely to continue in his usual role on Sunday as well. He is nippy, agile and can find the back of the net even in the toughest of situations.

Harry Kane (CF)

The man of the hour, Harry Kane will lead the line. Given his power, Kane is expected to get his name on the scoresheet.
