Tottenham Hotspur extended their unbeaten run in all competitions to 17 games thanks to a double from Son Heung-min against Huddersfield Town at Wembley on Saturday.
This was ideal preparation for Tottenham for the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie against Juventus on Wednesday.
The North Londoners were in complete control from the minute one and never had to change gears as they cruised to win against the Terriers.
Spurs received a massive boost when Jan Vertonghen returned to the starting line-up against Huddersfield.
The Belgian centre-back missed the last three games with an ankle injury picked up during training but is now fit to face Juventus.
However, Vertonghen’s Belgian compatriot Toby Alderweireld is a major debut for the second leg after injuring his hamstring again.
Meanwhile, Serge Aurier will miss the Champions League second-leg against Juventus through suspension.
Hugo Lloris (GK)
He is Spurs’ no.1 and will retain his place against Juventus.
Kieran Trippier (RB)
With Aurier suspended, Trippier will be the right-back on Wednesday.
Davinson Sanchez (CB)
Sanchez has been a reliable presence at the back for the Lilywhites and should continue to feature in the heart of the defence.
Jan Vertonghen (CB)
Spurs have been boosted with the return of Vertonghen, who is a rock at the back for the North London outfit.
Ben Davies (LB)
Davies has been a reliable presence at left-back which is likely to prompt Pochettino to start him ahead of Rose.
Victor Wanyama (DM)
Spurs would need robustness and high energy in midfield and that makes Wanyama a sure-shot starter against Juventus.
Mousa Dembele (DM)
Dembele has been phenomenal since the last month. The Belgian has looked like his old-self and Pochettino will need him to be at his sublime best to help Spurs qualify for the next round of Champions League.
Christian Eriksen (RW)
Spurs’ most creative player; Eriksen will have to produce the goods for the hosts on Wednesday. His influence will have a major impact on the game.
Dele Alli (CAM)
Alli has endured a mixed campaign for Spurs and would look to influence the proceedings in the second leg against the Italian giants.
Son Heung-min (LW)
Son has been brilliant for Spurs this season. He scored a brace against Huddersfield and will want to build on that performance on Wednesday.
Harry Kane (ST)
Spurs will need their big man to deliver on the big night. Kane is a sure starter and if given any space in the box or just outside of it, he can put the game to bed and destroy Juventus.
