QPR vs Leeds United Report: Leeds United Match Report
Leeds United slipped to yet another defeat in 2019 as Queens Park Rangers ended their bad form by beating them 1-0 at Loftus Road. Luke Freeman scored the only goal of the game which was enough to get the better of Marcelo Bielsa’s men.
In a game where the away side had more possession, it was the hosts who created more chances and troubled the opposition back-line. Freeman scored in the 49th minute, when he finished the chance from close range after being found by Massimo Luongo.
As Leeds pressed for an equaliser, Patrick Bamford and Stuart Dallas brought saves out of Joe Lumley but the R’s held on for a vital victory, leaving Bielsa’s men third in the table.
Looking at the pattern of the game, Leeds had all the play in the first half but were unable to press home the advantage. Tyler Roberts had an attempt on goal which was saved by Lumley.
After scoring the opener, QPR almost made it 2-0 when Nahki Wells had a great chance, but he was denied by Kiko Casilla.
At the end of the day, it was another defeat for the Elland Road side, who had a chance to use their game in hand and go to the summit of the table, but not to be.
Here’s how their fans reacted after the game:
Honestly looked for the positives all season but this was absolute shite, should all be embarrassed

Anyone who says it’s not bielsa’s fault is just lying to themselves

Called it, we are genuinely the only team in the league that would allow QPR to break their losing streak. Not looking forward to Friday. #lufc

That’s what we get for having the wool pulled over our eyes by not signing anyone in January again. Everyone else did, not us. The board have blown top 2 for us. Let’s hope Bielsa gets us up through the playoffs the miracle merchant.
