Who Would You Play: The Strongest Liverpool XI To Play Against Everton

After conquering Vitality Stadium, Liverpool will be welcoming Roberto Martinez’s side Everton to Anfield. Everton has been struggling a lot lately in the premier league whereas, Liverpool players are enjoying their time under Klopp.

Everton took the lead against Southampton in their last fixture but couldn’t hold on to it for long. The last time these two sides met both shared a point each as the game finished 1-1 at Goodison Park.

Liverpool are currently 8th on the table and win would take them to the 6th spot (2 points behind Manchester United). Whereas Everton are on the 11th spot and if they win, they would be above Chelsea with goal difference at their side.

The recent form of the clubs gives the edge to Liverpool in this fixture as Klopp has managed 4 wins out of their last 6 games and Everton, has no  victory to show for (in their last 6 games).

Here is the predicted lineup for Liverpool that could face Everton-

Goalkeeper: Simon Mignolet-

Didn’t start the game against Bournemouth but could eventually start against Everton as this would be an important game for both the sides.

Defence: Flanagan, Sakho, Skrtel, Moreno-

None of them were in the starting lineup last time out. Lucas was introduced as a center back shockingly but he did a pretty good job. Klopp might go down with a more defensive unit this time as he knows how serious Lukaku can be in his attacks. Flanagan was on the bench in the last game but, he might return to the starting lineup after a long time. With Skrtel and Sakho in the middle, Moreno might start at his usual position in the next game.

Midfield: Milner, Allen, Ibe, Ojo, Origi-

Milner and Origi were on the bench against Bournemouth but, might start in their next game. Origi can be played just behind Sturridge to give more pace to Liverpool’s attacks. Allen, Ibe and Ojo tormented Bournemouth defense with their skills and showed why they can be trusted in the big games like against Everton. As Emre Can and Henderson will be absent due to injuries, Allen will have a huge responsibility in the game against Everton-

Striker: Sturridge-

In the last game, he partnered with Firmino and then Origi later on. Gave a great performance in the last game to show why he is undroppable. Might again start the game to work with the talented Belgian Divock Origi.
