After a nine day break with International duties, Arsenal players re-joined the club and took part in light warm sessions at the London Colney earlier today. Among the players were injured stars Mikel Arteta and new signing David Ospina along with Mesut Ozil, who was rumoured to be injured while on International duty.

It looks like Ozil is in good shape to start against the league Champions Manchester City. There were also fears of an ankle injury to Aaron Ramsey after representing Wales this week, but the midfielder remains confident about his involvement on Saturday.

“I’ll be all right – the pitch was very hard there’s no give in it so I rolled my ankle a bit,” he said. “Hopefully it will be nothing and I’ll be available for Saturday. These are the games you want to play in and I’m looking forward to it.”

Elsewhere long term absentee Theo Walcott, hopes to be back on the pitch in a matter of weeks and remains confident that he will be stronger and quicker than ever.

“Life’s been very good actually,” Walcott told Arsenal.com. “I know it’s a bit different to say that, and of course injuries always get people down, but the way I look at it, is you can’t change the fact that you’re injured.

“The time has seemed to fly by and there have been other things going on in my life, like a new baby boy, which makes time go quickly. It’s a cliche but it’s true. “We’re not setting specific comeback matches, but I’m just pleased it’s hopefully now only a matter of weeks before I’ll be back playing,” he said.

So here are some pictures from the training ground.
