While we are counting the days to read Bacary Sanga’s exit as an official announcement, it has been reported that Ivory Coast International Serge Aurier as his replacement leaving Carl Jenkinson to continue playing in the second choice role.
It is needless to say he is the perfect replacement for the departing Sagna as his stats reveal that he is on par with the Europe’s elite and has a better interception and tackling rate than any other defender in the Premier League. Aurier, who has been linked with a £7.5m move to the Emirates has dropped the biggest of hints that he will soon move to the London club.
An Arsenal fan @Kandzet, who was present during Ivory Coast’s friendly match last Firday managed to take a video where he asks the defender whether he is coming to Arsenal. He also confirms that Aurier replied in a positive manner.
While we cannot take the words of an Arsenal fan, who claims that he has heard it from the player, but when Aurier himself re-tweets the video it only makes his case strong.
Thanks for the photo @Serge_Aurier! Great player and even better person ;) pic.twitter.com/1hftHLzMFp
