Arsenal are definitely in for a defensive midfielder this window as reports have linked the club with several players as a possible target. One such player is Mesut Ozil’s former team mate at Real Madrid, Sami Khedira. Reports from Metro suggest that, Arsenal are looking to land the German midfielder who could be available for as low as £15m, which could go in a long way in solving their search for a prominent figure in the heart of the midfield.
Khedira, who has just around 12 months remaining in his current contract remained in the sidelines for almost the major part of the recently concluded season. The German along with Ozil, Podolski and his national team are in Portugal preparing for their showdown in Brazil next month.
