As Manchester United’s newest signing Anthony Martial prepared for his France debut, he was pictured training alongside veteran Patrice Evra at Clarefontaine. The 19-year-old forward who signed for the Premier League giants on transfer deadline day from Ligue 1 outfit Monaco for a big money deal, took the path Evra had taken himself.
Evra himself joined the Red Devils from the French club in 2007 and went on to captain the club and win the Champions League with them.
If Martial should at the moment take anyone’s advice as to what to expect at Old Trafford, it would surely be the 34-year-old Juventus left-back.Also, in the image the young attacker looked quite delighted to be training alongside the veteran defender.
France faced Portugal on Friday night in a friendly match, which they won by a 1-0 scoreline, as Valbuena’s brilliant free-kick on the 85th minute gave Raymond Domenech’s side a morale-boosting victory in Lisbon.
Martial was brought on in the game as a late substitute and could not really make too much of an impact.
