Arsenal begin their season on a high as they beat league Champions Manchester City 3-0 to win their first silverware of the season. Both the sides had key members missing from their squad but it looked like Arsenal wanted to win it more than Man City and it was seen right from the starting whistle.
However, it was Alexis Sanchez who was the highlight of the day. The Former Barcelona man was arguably the best player on the pitch as he made his first competitive debut for the club. The Chilean had good spells in the game linking up well with Sanogo and Ramsey early in the game and was effective in counter attacks as well.
Sanchez managed to lift a trophy in his first game in an Arsenal shirt, thanks to goals from Cazorla, Ramsey and Giroud.
