Phil Bardsley Will Be Given A Second Chance – Says Paolo Di Canio

Sunderland manager Paolo Di Canio blasted Phil Bardsley for his unethical behavior at casino – but he also insisted the player will be given a second chance at the club.

The People newspaper earlier published a picture showing Phil Bardsley at a casino. He was sprawled on the floor in an embarrassing manner, with £50 notes sprayed all over his body. (see the pic)

Frustrated Di Canio said,

“There is no excuse to behave like he (Bardsley) did. From now I will be more strict because we have to improve our professionalism.”

“I will think really carefully. Always I give a second chance to the people,”

“He is not a kid, he has a family at home. I’m not here to be a priest.”
