Full Time: Huddersfield Town 0-4 Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham Hotspur blasted away David Wagner’s Huddersfield Town, handing them a 4-0 defeat at The John Smith’s stadium, on Saturday.
Tottenham were up and running just 9 minutes into the game, as talismanic striker Harry Kane got himself on the scoresheet again with a clinical strike. Seven minutes later, Ben Davies doubled the visitors’ advantage with a clever finish, after some beautiful build-up play.
Kane made it three for Spurs, with a stunning left-footed hit from the edge of the box in the 23rd minute. Substitute Moussa Sissoko then added further sheen to the scoreline with a late goal in stoppage time.
Here’s how the Tottenham players fared on the day against the Terriers:

Made an early save to keep Tommy Smith out and parried away a dangerous cross in the first half. Was untroubled thereafter.
Toby Alderweireld – 7/10
Conceded a free-kick on the edge of the box in the first period, but was untested for almost the entirety of the game.
Davinson Sanchez – 7/10
Could have conceded a penalty in the first-half, but other than that, he did not put a foot wrong and was solid again.
Jan Vertonghen – 7/10
Returning to the line-up after missing the Champions League game, the Belgian had a comfortable outing, with the Terriers not offering a great deal going forward.
Kieran Trippier – 7.5/10
Got the assist for Kane’s first two goals. Put in a shift down the right-hand side and had a quiet day as far as his defensive duties were concerned.

Another steady and solid display in the middle, making crucial blocks and allowing his creative teammates to flourish.
Harry Winks – 7.5/10
Offered energy, drive and thrust from the middle of the park. Was always looking to get on the ball. The youngster looks like a confident player and this game time will benefit him greatly.

Was involved in the lead up to the second Tottenham goal. Was a nuisance with his creativity and keen eye for a pass.
