Pep Guardiola snubs Manchester City Job

Reports surfaced earlier in the month that Manchester City had talks with the Champions league winning manager with regards to taking over as City’s manager in the summer. But according to the Daily Star though, Guardiola would prefer to take over at United than at Manchester City as he is looking for a club with some long term plans.

Laporta, a close friend of Guardiola said,

“I think Pep will return as coach next year.”

“All the big clubs would have Guardiola as coach. What would it take to convince him? He likes to create.”

“He will only join a club with long-term goals.”

It was first looked like he wanted to join Arsenal  as they share same football philosophies with Barcelona, but Wenger still have one more year left in his contract after this season and we all know Wenger will never break his contract for any reason. So now Guardiola considering Manchester United as legendary SAF may also retire at the end of this season.
