Pedro To Chelsea? This Deal Actually Makes Sense For The Blues

Pedro To Chelsea?

Chelsea have been relatively quiet this season in the transfer window. Granted the window is technically only a couple of weeks old but it isn’t like Jose Mourinho to not look to improve his club. Last season he brought in Cesc Fabregas and Diego Costa, amongst others and that was one of the reasons as to why the club did so well and won the Premier League.

This season hasn’t seen any large moves for any players in the transfer window and they let go of Petr Cech with Asmir Begovic taking up his place. Chelsea still are in the transfer market and are set to launch a bid for this Barcelona star.

From Barcelona to London?

Chelsea have been looking to increase their attacking options from last season. They did sign Fiorentina’s Cuadrado, but the Colombian has looked out of place in London and does not look like the kind of player who can make a difference at Stamford Bridge, he could technically turn into another Marko Marin, the one-time German Messi.

To fix this issue and provide some respite to their constant wingers Hazard and Willian, Chelsea could be looking to sign a player who himself didn’t have the best of times at Barcelona. Luis Suarez joined Barcelona and that meant that Pedro was placed on the bench for the Catalan club.

While Pedro was one of the best players for Barcelona a couple of seasons ago, his place was taken up by the former Liverpool striker. Suarez fit into the team like a finger in a glove and the rest is history. Pedro though needs regular football to keep his place in the Spanish team and this is why he could be willing to move to Chelsea.

Pedro would not cost Chelsea a ton of money and he would fit perfectly at the club. Jose knows what kind of player he would be getting and his work with players ensures that Pedro would be returning back to his best ability.

Pedro might need a breath of fresh air as well, having been at Barcelona for this long, a new challenge could be the perfect recharge option for a player who holds the record for having scored in every competition he has played in during one season. Chelsea need someone who can come off the bench and create something or can play from the start and give them a different dimension, Pedro is that player.

The Spanish star is a great finisher as well and is known to provide lots of scoring chances to strikers. The only issue which could face him would be the physicality and dynamism of the English game when compared to the Spanish one. Pedro though is a professional and moving to Chelsea shouldn’t be a problem for him to acclimatize, he has won everything at Barcelona, could it be time for him to do it in London?
