Derby County Player Ratings vs Swansea City – Here’s how the Rams fared

Derby County returned to winning ways by getting the better of Swansea City at Pride Park with a 2-1 scoreline. Harry Wilson scored a brace in the first half to lead his team to a half-time lead. The first goal around the half-hour mark was an absolute beauty and the second one just five minutes before the interval was well taken as well.

The Swans did get a goal very late in the game when Fikayo Tomori netted past his own keeper three minutes from time. This win keeps Frank Lampard’s men seventh in the table, level on points with Sheffield United and Nottingham Forest, who are placed sixth and fifth respectively.

Derby County Player Ratings

Scott Carson (7)

Made a couple of crucial saves in either half to keep the team ahead in the game. His experience in goal is key.

Jayden Bogle (6.5)

Was not really tested defensively until Swansea made a change in the wide areas. A secure outing for the right-back.

Richard Keogh

Richard Keogh (7)

Faced a few problems early on but settled down well. Provided the assist for the first goal.

Fikayo Tomori (7)

Back in the starting line-up and was comfortable throughout the game. Endured an unfortunate end to the proceedings by scoring an own goal.

Scott Malone (6)

Got forward on every given opportunity but it left him exposed at the back. He needs to find the right balance as a full-back.

Tom Huddlestone (7)

A comfortable afternoon for the midfielder who controlled the game well. His passing was better and covered the spaces well.

Tom Huddlestone

Craig Bryson (7)

He was bad against Stoke but improved today. Moved around in the midfield to help the team whenever needed.

Mason Mount (7)

He was more involved in the build-ups today. It is an encouraging sign as the Chelsea loanee is fantastic in the pockets of space in the midfield.

Harry Wilson (9)

Scored two fine goals in the first half which was enough to win his team the game. Looked a threat from minute one. Liverpool would be looking at him closely now.

Tom Lawrence (6.5)

A much better performance from Lawrence who tried to make things happen in the final third.

Harry Wilson

David Nugent (6)

First league start after a while. Worked hard throughout the game without really having many chances in his way.

Substitutes

Florian Josefzoon (Subbed on after 74 mins) (6)

A bright cameo from him in the final 15 minutes.

Duane Holmes (Subbed on after 90 mins) (N/A)
