As I write this, Arsenal are yet to welcome Manchester United at home, which promises to be one of the most significant games of this interesting Premier League campaign. The Gunners had their sails knocked off by Liverpool last week when they were torn apart by a 5-1 margin and their wing play on either flanks looking very ordinary. Given Theo Walcott’s injury, Lukas Podolski’s lack of match fitness and Oxlade Chamberlain’s lack of experience it is on the wings which Arsene Wenger needs to chalk out in the summer. We start our list with Premier League’s player of the month for January- Sunderland’s Adam Johnson. Ever since Gus Poyet has taken over at the Black Cats, the former Manchester City man has been in the thick of things behind The Black Cats’ revival and resurgence from bottom to currently lie 17th in the table. A natural instinct to go past defenders and the willingness to run the extra mile comes naturally to Johnson and is equally adept at taking set pieces and barging inside from the wings. He also has a calm brain under pressure and reads the game very well and possess a belter of a let foot which Arsenal would love to have in their squad for the next season.
