Official: Manchester United Complete Transfer Move With Middlesbrough

Manchester United goalkeeper Victor Valdes has completed a sensational transfer to Middlesbrough.

The ex-Barcelona and Standard Liege goalkeeper failed to cement a place at Manchester United after he joined Old Trafford two years ago. Since then he has made only two appearance for the club where David De Gea reigns supreme between the sticks. The 34 year old has won every possible trophy while at Barcelona and as part of Spain’s national team.

Middlesbrough has recently returned to Premier League and has already signed several players marking the Valdes signing as their fifth of the season. The deal is for two years. Valdes had completed his contract at Manchester United and was released when interest from Manchester City was also reported. However the Spaniard snubbed all advances from other clubs and chose to sign for Middlesbrough instead. Middlesbrough is managed by Aitor Karanka, the former assistant to Jose Mourinho and knows Valdes decently well.
