Confirmed: Liverpool Complete Move For Striker, Player Snapped With New Jersey

The news that many Liverpool fans were waiting for has finally come. After a miserable season at Anfield, Christian Benteke has joined Crystal Palace.

The club website confirmed that the player completed his medical on Friday and has completed a switch to Selhurst Park for a reported fee of £32 million. With this given deal the Reds don’t really miss out much on the player. He joined Liverpool for a similar fee a season ago. Crystal Palace is believed to be offering him a wage of £120,000 a week.

The transfer fee indicates that Liverpool has lost only the wage paid to Benteke while his tenure at the club. This makes him fourth most expensive player to be sold by the Reds. Only Raheem Sterling, Fernando Torres, and Luis Suarez has commanded more transfer fee than Benteke. One way the deal is a good one for all the parties except Crystal Palace, who are taking a major risk with a fringe Liverpool player.
