Predicted Wolves Lineup To Face Nottingham Forest In The EFL Championship
League leaders Wolves return to league action at the weekend against Nottingham Forest, with the Midlands clash potentially turning fiery at Molineux.
Forest were on a high after they sacked Mark Warburton and scored four times in the FA Cup to knock out holders Arsenal, however they were brought right back down to earth in another Midlands clash last time out against Aston Villa when going down 1-0 at home.
The Tricky Trees now have Aitor Karanka at the helm but their old problems persist, something that Wolves will be happy to take advantage of like the sharks they are.
We should see a very familiar line-up from Nuno Espirito Santo in a 3-4-3 formation as per usual:
Probable Wolves XI
GK – John Ruddy
The most underrated ‘keeper in this league potentially but one who will get the last laugh come April.
CB – Ryan Bennett
The former Norwich City man has been rock solid and forms a part of a now very settled back three.
CB – Conor Coady
The midfielder turned right-back turned centre-half is gaining many admirers. Had he been playing in the Premier League this term, he’d mentioned as an England candidate.
CB – Willy Boly
Like a number of players in this squad, Boly will not be out of place in the top tier of English football and is more than doing his bit to get Wolves there.
RWB – Matt Doherty
A superb season from the now wing-back and another start is on the cards.
LWB – Barry Douglas
A top member of this side and with understudy Vinagre out suspended anyway, the Scot should line up in his usual role.
CM – Ruben Neves
The improving Portuguese midfielder is on 9 yellow cards and is in danger of missing a match. But Santo will keep picking him until this happens.
CM – Romain Saiss
The popular Moroccan should take his place alongside Neves as usual in the league team.
RW – Ivan Cavaleiro
As usual, it’ll be between him and countryman Helder Costa for the role on the right-hand side with Cavaleiro just about favoured.
LW – Diogo Jota
A quality prospect and one who can drive Wolves to this Championship title.
ST – Leo Bonatini
The Brazilian should start here and is destined for top-flight football either here or in Spain.
