An in-form Wolverhampton Wanderers will play Leicester City in the third round of the Carabao Cup at the Molineux stadium. Nuno Espirito Santo’s men have been doing well in the Premier League, getting a credible 1-1 draw at Old Trafford on Saturday to continue the good work.
They will face a Leicester team who got back to winning ways by beating Huddersfield in the weekend. Nuno rotated his regular eleven in the second round of this competition. Expect the Portuguese to do a similar thing for this game as well.
The good news for Wolves at the moment is that the manager has a full squad to pick his line-up from. Only Ivan Cavaleiro is out for a long period of time and apart from that, Nuno can rotate his squad for Tuesday’s match.
Ruddy started in the previous round and should continue to provide Rui Patricio a rest in the cup games.
The Belgian is expected to start as the right-sided centre-back just like he did against Sheffield Wednesday in the last round.
The captain has been fantastic for the team. Nuno would want him to continue leading the side in cup games.
The youngster may replace Willy Boly to get more game minutes, which can be advantageous for him.
Doherty has been very good for Wolves so far. Expect him to start this game.
Joao Moutinho might be rested for this game, hence Saiss could get his opportunity to stake his claim in the midfield.
The youngster did well in the last round. Expect Nuno to give him another chance.
Jonny has been the first-choice left wing-back so far, so Vinagre needs to show that he is good enough to grab a regular role.
The new signing has been a super sub in league games. Expect him to start this game.
The Brazilian could get his chance to lead the line on Tuesday, with Raul Jimenez getting a rest.
