Nuno Espirito Santo to make 7 changes – Predicted 3-4-3 Wolves lineup to face Barnsley

Predicted Wolves Lineup To Face Barnsley In EFL Championship

League leaders Wolves remain in brilliant form and with their FA Cup replay against Swansea City very clearly not a priority for Nuno Santo, a full strength team is expected for the league clash with Barnsley.

Rafael Mir may well feature in the game, though Leo Bonatini is expected to start up front with Diogo Jota in support along with Ivan Cavaleiro who may be preferred to Helder Costa.

Nuno Santo will naturally line his men up in the usual 3-4-3 formation made up of the following personnel:

Probable Wolves XI

GK – John Ruddy

One of the unsung stars of the season for the league leaders and a vital piece of the promotion puzzle for Nuno Espirito Santo between the sticks.

CB – Ryan Bennett

He and Batth have competed well for this position but it will most likely be Bennett who could line up in Yorkshire.

CB – Conor Coady

Has announced himself as a quality centre-back this term and is being courted by a few Premier League clubs.

Willy Boly

CB – Willy Boly

A class act at the back with many calling him the best defender in this league.

RWB – Matt Doherty

A surprise package perhaps in this advanced role but a player who has done precious little wrong this season.

LWB – Barry Douglas

The flying Scotsman has done really well down the left since joining Wolves and surely now sees himself as a Premier League player in this country.

CM – Romain Saiss

The Moroccan midfielder is capable enough alongside Neves and is likely to be called upon as usual.

CM – Ruben Neves

The young Portuguese star is proving to be a class act and is hopefully fit and well enough to start once more in the middle of the park.

Leo Bonatini

RW – Ivan Cavaleiro

Could come into the starting XI in place of Helder Costa who played the last league game. He is equally adept and a goal and/or assist from Cavaleiro would be no surprise at Oakwell.

LW – Diogo Jota

A real talent but another of Wolves’ on-loan players whose future is uncertain. A strong performance from him may be enough to clinch three points.

ST – Leo Bonatini

The Brazilian is having a fine season and will have to kick on yet another gear given the arrival of Rafael Mir from Valencia. Mir may get his chance in this game at some point, though for now Bonatini is trusted to start.
