Why Liverpool should sign Caglar Soyuncu
Brendan Rodgers has one of the most talented teams in the Premier League at Leicester City.
The Foxes have experienced stars such as Kasper Schmeichel and Jamie Vardy while they have rising stars like Youri Tielemans and James Maddison too.
Hamza Choudhury is another player with a bright future but one defender, in particular, has impressed for the Foxes so far.
Caglar Soyuncu joined Leicester last season but only featured in eight games in the campaign. The Turkish centre-back has played in both of their games so
Leicester signed the centre-back from Freiburg and he will get more games this season after the exit of Harry Maguire.

A quality addition to the Liverpool defence
The Reds currently have arguably the best centre-back in the world in Virgil van Dijk. The Dutchman has been incredible since his big-money move from Southampton but Jurgen Klopp seems to mix his defensive partner around a lot.
Joel Matip and Joe Gomez were the two that were rotated last season, mostly due to injuries, but this season also, there is no confirmed partner for Van Dijk.
Matip has the experience to deal with the best attackers in the world and can make some driving runs, while Gomez has loads of potential and is quicker than the Cameroon defender.
The fourth-choice centre-back, Dejan Lovren has struggled with injuries over the past two seasons and was linked with a move away in the summer (h/t Calciomercato).
Gomez is often played as a right-back by Klopp and the Englishman has experience of playing as a left-back too.
The Reds signed Sepp van den Berg in the summer but the 17-year-old isn’t ready for first-team Premier League football.
Liverpool also struggled for fit centre-backs last season with Fabinho playing in that position in a few games.
Soyuncu could turn out to be one of the best defenders this season, and Liverpool moving for him soon would help them land him relatively cheaper.
Should the Turk have another wonderful campaign with Leicester, the Foxes will want a huge fee and get something similar to Maguire’s sale to Manchester United.

Soyuncu has the potential to improve, given his age, and against Chelsea, he looked world-class when defending or when the ball was at his feet.
Verdict
Soyuncu might not be the quickest centre-back in the Premier League but his towering presence and ability on the ball make him a decent fit in the current Liverpool team.
Partnering him alongside Van Dijk would make the Reds’ defence near impenetrable, and Liverpool
